Intake

The intake procedure mainly serves as an introduction in order to create mutual trust between the practitioner and patient. In addition, we map out your dental condition and have a thorough preventive examination.

• After a short introduction, we determine what kind of treatment or help you need and want.
• We ask you a number of medical and dental questions, which are important for any future treatment.
• After, we provide a brief explanation of the procedures that will follow.
• There will also be a dental examination and additional X-rays (if necessary) to assess your dental condition. This is important to collect the necessary data for any future treatments.
• Finally, we set up a personally customized treatment plan and consult that with you. This often happens during the intake; it is also possible that we schedule a separate appointment or combine it with the upcoming appointment.

 

Costs

We hold great importance to ensure you are aware of the costs related to the procedure in advance.

The following billing codes may be used during your intake appointment:

• C28 – Extensive research
• C22 – Anamnesis (only applicable if your medication is extensively discussed and / or if consultation with your treating doctor is necessary)
• X10 – Taking and assessing a small X-ray (if applicable)
• X21 – Take and review jaw overview photo (if applicable)

With matters relating to the (full) reimbursement of the abovementioned performance codes by your health insurance, we kindly advise you to contact your health insurer in advance.

The aforementioned codes are fully reimbursed for children up to the age of 18 by the basic insurance.
