Complete dentures, frame prosthesis and flexible plate prosthesis

You are welcome to come to our practice for new dentures (full plate prosthethis). The dentist will assess your oral condition and make a new prosthesis in consultation with you. Several appointments are necessary in order to give the prosthesis the correct shape. The new prosthesis will not immediately be comfortable at first; it will feel different and you will have to get used to this. Dentures usually need to be replaced after 5 to 10 years.

If several teeth are still present, you can opt for a frame or (flexible) plate prosthesis. A plate prosthesis, like a denture, is made of pink synthetic resin and will rest on the gums. A frame prosthesis is made of a metal substructure and is attached to the teeth with anchors. This is usually more comfortable than a plate prosthesis, but aesthetically less attractive. You can decide the best solution in consultation with your dentist.
